A leader who strove for farmers’ welfare, spearheading protests across Tamil Nadu
From the late 1960s to the early 1980s, thousands of farmers from across Tamil Nadu took to the streets under the leadership of C. Narayanaswamy Naidu to voice their demands. Naidu first formed the Coimbatore District Agriculturalists’ Association in 1967. As his appeal widened, it was renamed as the Tamizhaga Vivasayigal Sangam in 1973
